I had been putting off testing it for a long time, but now that I have. I feel it is time to give it a thorough evaluation. Everyone likes French toast, but Greg Doucette, a fitness coach, and YouTuber created a recipe called "Anabolic French Toast."Remington James, another Youtuber, tweaked it a little and released it as well. Anyway, there were multiple photographs and videos of this recipe all over Instagram. And I wasn't in a hurry to test it since, as much as I adore cinnamon, it didn't seem like something I'd enjoy!

First Step

Preheat a large skillet over low to medium heat. Combine the egg whites, pumpkin, sugar-free syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl. On a big plate, pour the egg mixture. Add the bread and soak it for at least 5 minutes in the egg mixture. This will allow the egg whites to absorb completely into the bread.

Second Step

Use a nonstick spray, coat the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side on each side, or until golden brown and fluffy. The best approach to cook the egg whites all the way through and make the French toast thick and fluffy is to cook them low and slow.

Third Step

While the french toast is baking, combine Greek yogurt, one protein, and sugar-free pudding mix in a mixing bowl. You may thin it out with a couple of tablespoons of water or milk if it's too thick to blend.

Fourth Step

Serve with vanilla protein cream peanut butter, sugar-free maple syrup, and any other desired toppings on baked french toast.


Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the Greg Doucette French toast recipe. I've had it for lunch every day since I first tried it. It's yummy, can be topped with anything, is customizable, and filling! The volume of food is enormous as I add fat-free yogurt to the tip. I don't get any cravings until it's time for dinner!
